In the past I’ve been the dreamer, and Amanda’s the one persistent enough to make those dreams come true. So I was thrill this time around when Amanda had the big idea, and it was on me to make it happen.

Let me apologize for taking a few months off from blogging. It’s important Amanda and I be able to speak directly about our whiskies. Going forward our blog may be a little sporadic as it’s just the two of us making everything…!

There were very few craft whiskies when Amanda and I decided to make one in Texas. I still remember pulling the bottle out of a Texas flag felt bag only to turn it over and see “Product of Canada.” We were horrified this was what local whiskey was becoming know for. There had to be a better way to make great tasting whiskey than to buy it from somewhere else…
